Frustrate
My day has been a constant rush of frustrating events. Is it the frustration that is shaping my mood, or is my mood causing the frustration?

I'm going to live where the green grass grows
I never thought i would hear that noise come from outside our window, and i never thought that noise would bring me so much joy. That noise means i can walk barefoot across our yard, i can wash the windows and screens and know they won't get dusty in an hour, i can look out our windows and see a sea of bright green instead of dull brown. That noise means we have grass! TJ is mowing the grass as i type. It is a sound i have been yearning for and dreaming about. I'm going to live where the green grass grows. . .

Rest Your Head
I finished a materpiece today, if i do say so myself. Of course, it is for the future child TJ and i will have someday. I think of this child while i sew. I cannot wait. I know that God is preparing us and that he has a plan. He knows the exact second that a child of ours will rest his/her head upon that pillow, that masterpiece. It may be a year from now. . . it may be five years from now. I think something that is so pressing is that it would be awesome if our child knew my grandmas and i want our child to have a long relationship with our dads and our mom. I want our child's grandparents to be young and full of life and have energy to tell their stories and to play. I KNOW that God's timing is right. I don't understand it, but i know it is right. Most of the time i truly believe this, but occasionally, i say it to convince myself.
Anyways, here is the pillow, the masterpiece. The back is soft, bumpy green microfleece. There is purple microfleece, the green bumpy microfleece, and then scraps of fabric that i am using for the crib set. The letters are a blue/purple. The colors in the picture didn't turn out as nice. You have just got to see this in person. Come on over! If you can't, here is the picture
Thank you TJ for my sewing machine. Thank you Steve for my spectacular sewing box. Thank you gail for letting me borrow your sewing machine, for without that, i would have never learned that i actually enjoy sewing.

You Found Me!
Well, so it seems i am giving blogger a try. . . blogspirit was starting to drive me crazy. I could no longer post pictures, and i love posting pictures.
I have been so busy, but enjoying every minute of it, well alomost every minute...losing our credit card wasn't very enjoyable, but it is now cancelled, so if you are the one who stole it, go ahead and just try to use it!
We went to the congested east side of the state for some celebrating of father's day and birthdays. I almost cried when i tore open the paper to reveal a box and inside that box was another box. . . a handmade sewing box from TJ's dad. It is a beautiful maple, box-jointed beauty that i will treasure forever. It made me feel so special and loved. I just kept stroking it and opening it. I have already stocked my beloved box. It has the cutest little feet, like it stands as if it knows it is cherished.
Currently, i have been working on a patchwork pillow of a bunch of different fabrics and on each square is a letter. The pillow says "rest your head." It is cute, if i do say so myself.
Today, i am lookig forward to staying home and getting some dull stuff done that i have needed to get done for awhile. Yipee! (and of course i have to set up my new, continuing blog)
