the guardian uk quotes Jay-Z (although it's not clear if he was the first):
Whoever said it. It makes me very happy.
**
Jay-Z, P Diddy and Fall Out Boy were amongst the musicians making an 11th-hour pledge in support of Barack Obama at the Uptown Theatre in Philadelphia.
Jay-Z channelled black political heroes of the past, saying: "I need y'all to be really, really quiet for this. I need you to really understand what I'm telling you. Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther King could walk. Martin Luther King walked so Obama could run. Obama's running so we all can fly."

A great quote, no matter what the source.

I heard this quote last week and it really reminded me of how far we, as a nation, have come. What a fantastic time in history to be a part of.
Miss you :)
